Shanghai Sonnen Automated Analysis Instrument Co. , Ltd. (Sonnen) is a high-tech enterprise specializing in Kjeldahl nitrogen analyzers, titrators, digesters, and filter-bag fat and fiber analyzers. Founded in 2005, Sonnen has grown into a group covering product design, R&D, manufacturing, marketing and technical service. Sonnen operates through three companies. Shanghai Sonnen handles product R&D and international trade, Luoyang Sonnen is the manufacturing base, and Luoyang Langnuo Electronic Technology is the software development center, holding a full series of software copyright certifications issued by China's National Copyright Administration.
Sonnen's R&D team is guided by technical consultant Mr. Li Shuguang - postdoctoral supervisor of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, PhD of the University of Twente (Netherlands), postdoc of the GKSS Research Center (Germany), guest scientist of the National Institute for Materials Science (Japan), and one of the first 19 scientists in the Chinese Academy of Sciences' Hundred Talents program. Sonnen holds 2 invention patents, 3 utility model patents and 11 software copyrights in the nitrogen determination field, and manufactured China's first fully automatic nitrogen analyzer. Sonnen was invited to participate in drafting the national standard GB/T 22923-2008 and the Calibration Specification for Nitrogen Determination Apparatus.
Today Sonnen's product range covers five categories - sample pre-treatment, Kjeldahl nitrogen determination, fiber analysis, fat determination and titration - applied across agriculture, biology, food, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, materials and environmental monitoring, serving customers in China and in international markets.

Ms. Li Lihua
Formerly Vice Chief Engineer at the Testing Center of Luoyang City Quality Supervision Bureau. Led the team that independently developed China’s automatic Kjeldahl nitrogen analyzer in 2005, won the 2008 national comparison test, and drove the GB/T 22923 drafting work.
Mr. Tian Wenge
Senior Engineer, MEng (Northwestern Polytechnical University). 24 years in test-system development — DSP, FPGA and embedded systems; Assembly, Visual C++, VHDL. Leads online-analyzer and data-acquisition development.
Mr. Li Shuguang
PhD (University of Twente, NL), postdoc (GKSS, DE), guest scientist (NIMS, JP). One of the first 19 scientists of the Chinese Academy of Sciences “Hundred Talents” program; postdoctoral supervisor at the Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics, CAS.

Twenty years, twelve milestones.
Sonnen became the world's second manufacturer — after FOSS of Denmark — and the first in China to build a fully automatic nitrogen analyzer, using a color sensor to determine the titration end point.
Sonnen won the National Patent of Invention for Fully Automatic Azotometer.
Sonnen won a three-round determination comparison against imported instruments, achieving recovery rates of 99.1%, 99.2% and 99.2% — against 99.1%, 99.2% and 99.1% for the FOSS K2300.
Sonnen was invited to participate the establishing of China’s National Standard GB/T22923-2008 for the Determination Method of Chemical Fertilizer.
Sonnen resolved another worldwide problem that the apparatus recycling rate of the high nitrogen chemical product was always under requirement.
Sonnen won the innovation fund from China National Science and Technology Department.
Sonnen developed the first high-efficiency bag-filter fiber determinator and fat determinator in China.
Sonnen was awarded a series of Software Copyright National Certificate for the related products.
Sonnen was listed on the Approval Supplier List for China’s General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine.
Sonnen was awarded for 6 Software Copyright Certification of the related products issued by China’s National Copyright Administration.
Sonnen’s Fully Automatic Kjeldahl Azotometer won the Science and Technology Achievement Certificate of Henan Province, China.
